Unfortunately, a member of our team tested positive for the COVID-19 virus at 3 pm on May 7th, 2020. While the source of the infection is currently unknown, we do know the affected individual was not in contact with a COVID-19 positive patient and did not travel to any impacted areas and, therefore, it is more likely the virus was contracted due to community spread. The individual has been practicing social distancing and only occasionally visits grocery stores. The individual fell sick on April 30th after returning home from work and that was the last day the individual was in the restaurant. No one has shown any symptoms since then. Everyone at the restaurants are required to wear masks before entering the restaurant and wash their hands as soon as they enter the facility. Face covering was mandatory as of April 4th, 2020.
For extra precaution,Thai Fresh will be closed as of May 7th at 3 pm and will remain closed for 14 days. We will reopen on Friday May 22nd. All employees will be paid for the days they miss work. We will take this time to evaluate any potential exposure risks and to conduct a thorough cleaning as needed to sanitize and disinfect our restaurant entirely, which will be done in accordance with CDC guidelines. We will update you here on our website and our social media pages.
The safety of our staff and the community remains our top priority. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact jam@thai-fresh.com
